NAB Connect Payments: Domestic, Payroll, BPAY & Approval Workflows

Analysis

Domestic Supplier Payments

Businesses can create domestic payments and apply organisation-specific approval rules. The payment creator and approver do not have to be the same person when stronger separation is configured.

Analysis

Payroll and Batch Files

Multi funds transfers allow payroll or supplier payment files to be processed as a batch. NAB’s current comparison lists capacity of up to 25,000 transactions at a time in NAB Connect.

Analysis

PayID Management

NAB Connect supports creating and managing PayIDs. NAB’s current guidance states that an Administrator or Authorising User can create a PayID using a phone number, email address or ABN for an eligible account.

Analysis

Payment Approval Should Verify the Beneficiary

Authorisation confirms that an authorised person approved the instruction. It does not automatically prove the invoice or beneficiary details are genuine, so businesses should independently verify unexpected changes.
