NAB Connect Administrator Guide
An NAB Connect administrator is part of the business control framework, not merely a technical account manager. User setup, permissions, payment limits and administration practices can materially affect fraud exposure and operational resilience.
NabConn never asks for NAB Connect credentials
Use an official NAB-operated service for account authentication. Do not send NabConn your NAB Connect User ID, password, PIN, token code, one-time passcode, full card details or online-banking credentials.
Administrator Responsibilities
Administrators can be involved in creating or maintaining users and configuring parts of the organisation’s access structure. The business should document who may make sensitive changes and how those changes are reviewed.
User Access Should Follow Job Need
A staff member who only needs to view balances should not automatically receive payment-creation or administration rights. Least-privilege design reduces the consequences of credential compromise.
Sensitive Administration Can Use Dual Control
NAB Connect offers dual-administration capability. Where enabled, significant administrative changes can require more than one authorised person.
Review Access When Roles Change
Staff departures, role changes and temporary responsibilities should trigger an access review. Dormant or excessive permissions create avoidable risk.
