NAB Connect Mobile Token: Activation, Login & Security

NAB’s mobile token is a security device within the NAB Connect app for eligible users such as Authorising Users or Administrators. Activation belongs inside NAB’s official process; NabConn never asks for activation codes, PINs or generated one-time passcodes.

Analysis

How Official Activation Works

NAB’s current guide describes using the NAB Connect app, an activation email and an eight-digit SMS activation code, followed by creation of a four-digit PIN.

Those details are security-sensitive. If an activation message is unexpected, verify the request before continuing.

Analysis

What the Mobile Token Is For

A security token can help with login and transaction approval. The point of the token is to strengthen authentication, not to create a code that should be disclosed to another person.

Analysis

Device Changes and Resets

When a token is reset or a device changes, follow current NAB activation guidance. Do not rely on screenshots or instructions sent by an unknown caller.
